Literacy in India is a key for socio-economic progress. Indian literacy percentage has grown to 74.04%(2011) from 12% at the end of British rule in 1947. It becomes possible due to the continuous effort of various governmental & non governmental organisations.
Though it is a six fold increase in literacy percentage but we have no time for satisfaction. Still there are millions,out of our educational system. We should come forward to help them to realise their dream. Only our united effort can increase Indian literacy percentage to 100%.
