Nalada University

The historical Nalanda University is renovated as Nalanda International University,which is situated at Rajgir,near Nalanda,Bihar,India. The academic season was started on September 1,2014,with 15 students,in a temporary facility at Rajgir. A new international level academic capus is expected to be finished by 2020.                              

Japan & Singapur are financing the construction work totaling US$100 million. Amartya Sen was appointed as the 1st chancellor & Gopa Shabharwal as the 1st vice chancellor of this univercity. It has been estimated that US$500 Million will be required to built the new facilities & further US$500 Million to sufficiently improve surrounding infrastructure.                            

This dream project may change the scenario of the Indian education system.
