INS KOLKATA D-63 is the lead ship of Kolkata-class guided-missile
destroyer of INDIAN NAVY. It was built by Mazagon Dock Limited(MDL),Mumbai
& was handed over to Indian Navy on 14 July 2014 after completing its
sea traials. Only Indian technology is used to built this
ship.
Its weight is 7500 tons and length is 163 meter. Its speed
is in excess of 30 knots and range is 8000+ nautical miles.
The ship was officially commissioned by Prime Minister of India,
Mr Narendra Modi in a ceremony on 16 August,2014.
